Casting Director Workshop: with Kris Woznesensky (happy face, animal control, smashing machine)
Kris Woz & Kara Eide are a casting duo based in Vancouver, BC. They each have extensive experience in film and television casting, and in their 13-year partnership, have collaborated on many award-winning projects, including Kathleen Hepburn and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers’ “The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open,” Sophie Jarvis’ “Until Branches Bend,” Anthony Shim’s “Riceboy Sleeps,” and Agam Darshi’s “Donkeyhead.” They have provided Canadian casting for Adele Lim’s “Joy Ride,” Stephen Chbosky’s “Wonder,” Shana Feste’s “Boundaries, " and Benny Safdie's “The Smashing Machine,” among other films. Kris and Kara have also worked on various television series, including “Animal Control,” “Two Sentence Horror Stories,” "The Edge of Sleep" and "Happy Face".

Casting Director Workshop: with Tara Bell-Irving (life with the walter boys, snowpeircer, prey)
Tara Bell-Irving works alongside Emmy-nominated casting director Jackie Lind, helping bring some of Canada’s most compelling film and television projects to life. Together, they have been instrumental in casting some of the region’s most exciting projects, including the hit Netflix series My Life With the Walter Boys. With over 200 film and television credits to her name, Tara has played a key role in shaping the vibrant film landscape of the Okanagan. In the past year alone, she has been involved in casting multiple major feature films shooting in Kelowna. A member of the Casting Directors Society of Canada, Tara brings both professionalism and heart to every project she touches. Known for her supportive approach and commitment to discovering new voices, she continues to champion actors and elevate the storytelling coming out of Canada’s west coast.
